Benbrook, Texas, in Tarrant county, is 8 miles SW of Fort Worth, Texas. Part of the surrounding Fort Worth- Arlington metro area, Benbrook is home to some 20,208 residents.

Benbrook History

Benbrook was initially inhabited by local Native Americans. The early European settlers came to the region as a part of Peters' Colony in the 1850s. Benbrook is one of the oldest communities in Tarrant County. It is also one of the youngest incorporated cities. The first post office of Benbrook was established in 1880, and it was finally incorporated in 1947.
