Introduction to Brownwood, Texas
Brownwood was the site of the U.S. Army Camp during the Second World War. An F5 tornado struck Brownwood on April 19, 1976, causing extensive damage. In 2003, the city was categorized as a "Micropolitan Statistical Area."
