Hyrum, Utah is located 29 miles N of Ogden, Utah (center to center) and is 383 miles W of Denver, Colorado. It is in Cache County. The population of the city is 6,316.

Hyrum History

The community of Hyrum is located in Cache County. The name of the area was suggested by David Osborn. It was named in honor of the Mormon Prophet, Joseph’s brother. At that time, there were plans to build another city which was supposed to be named Joseph. Both the towns were supposed to be named in honor of Joseph, who was the Mormon prophet, as well as his brother Hymn. However, the city of Joseph was never established.
