Pleasant View History
Pleasant View adopted its present name in 1882. It was named by Wilford Cragun. Prior to that, the city was known by several names such as Hot Springs District, West District, Stringtown, and Out West. It was originally considered as a part of the North Ogden. Some of the early settlers of the area include Thomas Dunn, Simeon Cragun, John Mower, and their families. The city in Weber County, which was established in 1852.
