Washington, Utah is located 110 miles NE of North Las Vegas, Nevada (center to center) and is 112 miles NE of Las Vegas, Nevada. It is in Washington County. The population of the city is 8,186.
Washington History
Washington was first settled in 1857. It was named Washington after George Washington, the first president of United States. The Cotton Factory of Washington was established in 1865. The Washington Fields Dam was completed in 1893 and solved the problem of irrigation in this area. The first telephone was installed in 1913. The city is located in Washington County, which was founded in 1852.
