Vermont graduate schools awarded over 553 graduate degrees from 16 colleges in 2008-2009. Burlington, Brattleboro, Middlebury, Northfield and Castleton have the greatest number of graduate schools in Vermont. Popular graduate degree programs include Masters of Business Administration (MBA), Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), Doctor of Medicine (MD), Masters in Nursing (MSN) and Masters in Public Health (MPH).

There are 10 business schools in Vermont that offer MBA programs. There are many types of MBA degrees including an MBA in Accounting, Economics, Entrepreneurial Management, Finance, Marketing, Operations and Technology Management. In addition to traditional Vermont business schools, students may now access graduate programs online. This is particularly important for students who do not have access to a program locally.
