Purcellville, Virginia, in Loudoun county, is 23 miles NW of Reston, Virginia (center to center) and 41 miles NW of Washington, District of Columbia. The town is included in the Washington metropolitan area. As of the year 2000 census, 3,584 people lived in Purcellville.
