Verona, Wisconsin is 8 miles SW of Madison, Wisconsin and 82 miles W of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The city is included in the Madison metropolitan area. As of the year 2000 census, 7,052 people lived in Verona.

Verona History

Verona is located in Dane County, which was founded in 1839 and named in honor of Nathan Dane. Dane was a delegate of the Congress of the Confederation from Massachusetts and helped carve the State of Wisconsin from the Northwest Territory. The city was named after Verona, New York.
