Abilene Christian University is an institute of higher learning that offers a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate programs. The school was established in 1906 in Abilene Texas and is affiliated with the Church of Christ. In addition to its campus location, Abilene Christian University Online school offers nine master's degree and three certificate programs. Some concentrations include conflict resolution and reconciliation, Christian ministry, global service, higher education, marriage and family therapy, business administration, and organizational leadership and development.

Abilene Christian University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.

Student Life

Due to the nature of online study, student life at Abilene Christian University Online is extremely flexible. With access to their studies at any time, students can create a study schedule that is most convenient for them, allowing them to keep their commitments outside of school. Generally, students will be enrolled in one course at a time. Each course last 7 weeks. Full-time students will take 2 courses at a time on a year-round basis. Instructors will assign students their work at the beginning of each week. Once they complete the work, students will submit it to the course facilitator through the online learning platform. Course work may include written assignments, watching videos, engagement in discussion boards, readings, and group work. ACU provides round-the-clock technical support.
