The Academy of Hair Design was founded in 1976. The academy has facilities in the cities of Hazelton and Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. The academy provides training for careers in the fields of Cosmetology, Nail Aesthetics, Skin Aesthetics and Cosmetology Education. Students are prepared to meet licensing standards for practicing professionals in the state of Pennsylvania. In addition, the various aspects of managing a salon are thoroughly reviewed. Accreditation has been provided by the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts and Science.

Areas of Study

The nail esthetics curriculum offers thorough training in the aspects of natural and artificial nail care. The teachers course prepares professionals for the State of Pennsylvania Instructor Exam and License.
