Overview of Allied College

Allied College is a Missouri institution offering Associate Degree programs leading to careers in health care and criminal justice. The College has two campuses. The first, Allied College North, opened in 1981 and is located in Maryland Heights, a suburb of St. Louis. The other, Allied College South, opened in Fenton in 1992. Both Allied College branches are owned and operated by High-Tech Institute, which operates a total of 22 campuses spread throughout 15 states.

Areas of Study

Allied College offers Associate of Applied Science Degrees in some of the fastest growing fields in criminal justice and health care. Degree programs, which can be completed in less than 19 months, are available in the following disciplines:

Allied College Admissions

Admission requirements include a high school diploma or GED equivalency, an ability to speak and write English fluently, and (for those who have not graduated from high school within the past year) a passing score on Allied's Entrance Assessment Test. The application process is extremely simple and consists of a meeting with an admissions representative followed by submission of an application packet.

Allied College Faculty Quality

Instructors are industry-experienced and know precisely what skills are needed in order to succeed in the student's chosen field. Faculty members are energetic, outgoing, and caring; and will do all they can to help students be as prepared as possible for the real world.

Allied College Student Body

Allied College attracts motivated students wishing to undergo focused career training for specific jobs. Total enrollment for both campuses is about 1200 students with an approximate 9:1 female/male ratio.

Allied College Student Life

The College will assist out-of-town students in locating well-managed, clean, affordable and safe housing in a nearby apartment complex. Students are paired with a roommate who seems compatible based on lifestyle information submitted on the Housing Registration Card. Students are afforded an educational environment that respects and accommodates a diversity of individual backgrounds, abilities, interests and opinions.
