Overview of Allied Medical & Technical Institute
Allied Medical & Technical Institute (AMTI) is a Pennsylvania institution of higher learning committed to giving its students quality career training in multiple medical-related fields. The school is located at two campuses. The Forty Fort campus, established in 1984, is situated in a residential setting within the Greater Wilkes-Barre area. The Scranton campus is located in historic downtown Scranton, where it has resided since 1988. Allied Medical & Technical Institute is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT) and licensed by the State Board of Private Licensed Schools of Pennsylvania Department of Education. The Institute is also a member of the Pennsylvania Association of Private School Administrators (PAPSA).

Allied Medical & Technical Institute Admissions
To qualify for admission to AMTI, prospective students must have a high school diploma or its equivalent. All applicants are asked to complete a personal information sheet and be interviewed by a member of the school's admissions staff, in order to identify the program which best matches the applicant's career goals. After completing an Enrollment Agreement and confirming financial planning, applicants are given the opportunity to tour the facility.

The faculty at AMTI utilizes the latest technologies to create a reflection of the workplace within the classroom setting. Instructors are highly qualified and extremely dedicated to teaching. They foster a friendly and supportive atmosphere conducive to learning, with tutoring available for those students who need a little extra help.

Students at AMTI anticipate graduating from programs ready to enter the workforce as highly trained professionals. Combined enrollment for both campuses is about 300 students, about 85% of which is female.
Allied Medical & Technical Institute Student Life
Students at the AMTI Forty Fort campus have the opportunity to live in apartment-style housing at the City Suites at Ramada Inn, a facility located only a mile from the campus. The spacious units are located near an open air farmer’s market, a new theater complex, and a shopping mall. The Scranton campus is just minutes from the Steamtown Mall, the historic Steamtown National Park, and Mercy Hospital. The site is adjacent to a bus route and easily accessible from Interstate I-81. Plenty of free on-campus parking is available to students.
