Augusta Technical College, established in 1961, is a 2-year college located in Augusta, Georgia. It was originally founded as the Augusta Area Vocational-Technical School, but after merging with Richmond Area Vocational School in 1966, it was renamed Augusta Area Technical School. It became the Augusta Technical Institute in 1987, and was finally christened Augusta Technical College in 2000. It is under the Technical College System of Georgia.
