The Baran Institute of Technology is a private, for-profit institute offering short-term programs. It is located in East Windsor, Connecticut, and was founded in 1979. The college moved to its current, 40-acre campus in May of 2005. Baran offers hands-on certificate and diploma programs in technological areas like auto body repair, automotive technology, motorcycle technology and welding, among others.

Students at the Baran Institute of Technology can participate in intramural basketball games and planned excursions, along with other extra-curricular activities. The college also offers a number of loans, financial aid and work-study programs for eligible students. Available scholarships include Skills USA, the Baran Institute Scholarship, the Ford AAA Competition, the Global automotive aftermarket symposium scholarship program, the ASE Certification scholarship, the AWS Certification scholarship and the Imagine America Scholarship.
