The Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology is a private, for profit institution in Denver, Colorado overlooking the Rocky Mountains. It has been in operation for more than 30 years and is also one of the largest veterinary technician schools in the U.S. The institute was offered a School of Excellence Award in 2007-08 and a School of Distinction Award in 2002 from the ACCSCT.

The curriculum of Bel-Rea Institute includes courses in anatomy, veterinary science, anesthesiology, physiology and microbiology. The institute is also known for its internship program providing students with hands-on, real world experience at sites like equine or large animal specific hospitals, zoos, and veterinary teaching hospitals.
