Belmont Technical College, commonly referred to as BTC, is located in St. Clairsville, Ohio. The origins of the institute can be traced back to 1965 when funds were granted to the Belmont County High School District by the Appalachian Regional Commission for the construction of a post-secondary technical institute. The college was formerly known as the Belmont Technical Institute. It became the Belmont Technical College in 1971. The college offers certificates and associate’s degrees in various programs of study such as business, allied health and public safety, nursing, and information sciences.
Belmont Technical College sponsors a number of student clubs and organizations. Among those available on campus are the Student Activities Council and Phi Theta Kappa. Besides, a variety of Federal and Stafford loan programs are offered to the students of BTC.
