Berkeley College, established in 1931 as a business school, has grown since that time to a thriving multi-campus institution offering degree programs in a variety of disciplines. With seven locations in New York and New Jersey, Berkeley today offers programs that balance traditional academic study with professional training and hands-on experience. The admission process can be started by logging onto the school's website and completing an online application. Those applicants who prefer a traditional paper application may download one from the site and then submit it via mail, fax or in person.

Students earn their Bachelor's degrees in as little as three years, while Associate's degrees can be finished in 18 months. Although classes are taught via the Internet, the student experience is far from one of isolation. There is no set time for class, yet each student will complete weekly assignments and contribute to the class conversation. The course website contains all the resources for the distance learning course.
