Overview of Berks Technical Institute
Berks Technical Institute (BTI) is a career-training institution located in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1974 as a consulting firm named Lehigh Data Processing Consultants, Berks became a school (Lehigh Data Processing Institute) in 1982 when it received its license to provide training in data processing. In 1990, the school changed to its present name and in subsequent years expanded its course offerings to include business, health care, legal, and criminal justice programs.

BTI offers both Associate Degree and Diploma programs in the allied health, business, IT technology, legal, and criminal justice fields. Depending on the subject area, associates degrees can be earned in anywhere from 18 to 27 months. Diploma programs can be completed in 9 to 12 months. Programs include the following:
Berks Technical Institute Admissions
Applicants for admission can contact one of BTI's Admissions Representatives online or via the school's toll-free number. After being interviewed by the Admissions Rep, the applicant can finish the rest of the process by completing an Enrollment Agreement and providing other required information.

Faculty members are selected for their academic experience and professional credentials. Instructors are also experienced in their particular field and have a desire to impart their knowledge to their students.

Enrollment at BTI is in excess of 600 students. Women slightly outnumber men in the student population.
Berks Technical Institute Student Life
BTI does not provide its own housing; however, assistance is provided to out-of-town students in need of local housing arrangements. The BTI facility is large, modern, and air-conditioned. Student parking is provided, and indoor and outdoor break areas are available to all students. A Learning Resource Center, staffed by a full-time librarian, is stocked with periodicals, general reference materials, and access to online databases.
