Established by a Mennonite group in 1947, Bethel College is a private, evangelical Christian liberal arts institution. The campus occupies 75 acres of land in South Bend (Mishawaka), Indiana. Bethel College's recent enrollments have been more than 2,000 students every year.

Bethel College offers a large number of undergraduate and postgraduate programs of study through the following academic divisions:

The athletics department of Bethel College fields men’s and women’s teams in baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, tennis, track and field, softball, and volleyball. Nicknamed the Pilots, the teams compete in the Mid-Central Conference of National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, and the National Christian College Athletic Association.
