Bishop State Community College is a state-supported community college located in Mobile, Alabama. It was founded in the summer of 1927 as a branch of the Alabama State College System. Bishop State was established as a two-year College in September 1936. The college offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study.

Bishop State’s campus boasts of an active student life. There are several clubs and organizations on campus, including the Health Occupations Students of America, Bishop State Community College Choir, Phi Theta Kappa and the Students in Free Enterprise club. The college also offers financial aid to its needy students.
