Blinn College is a two year academic institution located in Brenham, Texas. It was founded in 1833 by the Southern German Conference of the Methodist denomination under the name of Mission Institution. The college has campuses in Brenham, Bryan, Schulenburg and Sealy. The main campus of the college is situated in Brenham.
The school is named after the Reverend Christian Blinn of New York, who donated a substantial sum of money to build the school. Blinn College was made coeducational in 1888. The college is one of the largest public community college districts in the State of Texas.
The alumni association of Blinn College welcomes anyone interested in the college to become part of it. The sports team of Blinn College is nicknamed the Buccaneers. It is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).
