Bloomfield College was founded in 1868 by the Presbyterian Church. It is a private college of liberal arts and is located in Bloomfield, New Jersey. The campus of the college is spread across an area of more than 10 acres. The college provides degrees in a number of subjects including business administration, allied health technology, computer information systems, creative arts & technology, and political science, among others. The institute also provides opportunities of studying abroad.

Bloomfield College's athletics department fields several men's and women's sports teams. They compete in National Collegiate Athletic Association, Division II. They are nicknamed as the Deacons. The Deacons participate in sports like tennis, soccer, basketball, baseball, and cross country.
