Bowling Green State University Online has a comprehensive distance learning program giving students the ability to complete their online degree with high academic standards. Founded in 1910, Bowling Green State University (BGSU) has more than 21,000 students, and is the 14th largest producer of instructors, with a 19:1 student to faculty ratio. Online courses at BGSU operate on the same schedule as the campus, and use technologically advanced methods to provide a high level of interaction with instructors and classmates. BGSU Online offers undergraduate and graduate degrees, as well as certificate and endorsement programs.

Areas of Study
The majority of programs offered by Bowling Green State University are 100% online, with some blended programs offered which require some time on their campus in Ohio. The following undergraduate degrees are offered: Bachelor of Science in Advanced Technological Education (ATE), Bachelor of Liberal Studies, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. The following graduate degrees are offered: Master of Arts in Teaching Biology, Master of Arts in English, Master of Education in Classroom Technology, Master of Education in Curriculum and Teaching, Master of Family and Consumer Sciences, Master of Education in Special Education, an Executive Master of Organization Development (Blended Program), an Executive Master of Business Administration (Blended Program), and a Ph.D. in Technology Management. The following graduate certificates and endorsements are also offered: International Scientific & Technical Communication Certificate, Food and Nutrition Certificate, Quality Systems Certificate, and an Ohio Reading Endorsement Program (Blended Program). BGSU Online also offers some continuing and extended education certificates.
Bowling Green State University Online Selectivity
Students interested in enrolling at BGSU Online require the same process as students enrolling in on-campus programs. Students interested in joining the BGSU community should define their goals and contact BGSU's Center for Online and Blended Learning for more information about the process. There are different admissions requirements for each program, but each applicant must apply for admission, register for classes, and pay tuition.
Faculty
Students of BGSU Online benefit by being taught by the same professors who teach on campus. Bowling Green State University has 861 full-time faculty members, many of whom are national and international experts in their field, as well as authors and faculty who have won awards for both teaching and research. Students receive the same personal attention from the faculty and support staff that is distinctive of a small college atmosphere.

Student Life
BGSU Online provides students with a high level of interaction with faculty and other students, as well as networking opportunities. Through Blackboard, courses are delivered using technologically advanced methods. Online courses at BGSU begin and end on the semester schedule and assignments and tests have specific deadlines. Students not enrolled in a blended program do not have to travel to campus to attend courses, but must log in often to stay on track with due dates and to successfully complete each course.
