Bradley University, also referred to as BU or BU Illinois, is a private, coeducational university located in Peoria, Illinois, United States. It was established in 1897 as The Bradley Polytechnic Institute. In 1946, it was granted university status and renamed to Bradley University. The BU campus today stretches over more than 80 acres of urban land. It grants admission to over 5,000 students annually.
