Bridgewater College, BC, is a private, four-year, co-educational college in Bridgewater, Virginia that was established in 1880. It was Virginia's first co-educational college. BC, which has a sprawling campus of 190 acres, offers undergraduate programs in subjects like art, science, business, and humanities. Pre-professional programs in dentistry, law, medicine, pharmacy, engineering, and other fields of study are also available.

Bridgewater College participates in the NCAA Division III and is affiliated with the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. Students participate in sports like baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, riding, soccer, tennis, and volleyball. The nickname for BC athletics teams is the Eagles. The college also has more than seven Greek clubs and students can choose from more than seventy organizations including Flawless Hip-Hop Dance Team, the Mass Communications Organization, the Forensics Union, the Association for Computing Machinery, the Civil War Club, and the Multicultural Leadership Program.
