Points of Distinction
Areas of Study

They offer Associate degree programs in the Arts, Applied Sciences, and Fine Arts, as well as several certificate programs in several dozen disciplines such as the Culinary Arts, Computer-Aided Drafting and Design, and Webmaster Administration. The school is accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, the same accrediting agency responsible for all colleges in the region.
Selectivity
Brookdate Community College is an open attendance school. This means that, as long as the applicant is over the age of 18, even if no high school, or equivalent, diploma was obtained, the applicant can still apply. Although, some programs may have additional admission criteria beyond that. Brookedale Community College offers the opportunity to anyone who does not have a high school diploma to obtain a G.E.D. through a 30 credit program, which has a test students must pass at the end.
Faculty
The faculty at Brookdale Community College are all professionals, drawing from their own experience and wealth of knowledge in the subject they are teaching. In conjunction with the labs and other facilities, faculty at Brookdale is able to give all the tools necessary to their students that will enable them to succeed in the aggressive job market and work place environments of today's fast-paced careers. Most faculty and staff have open door policies, allowing for students to seek extra help and guidance whenever the professor is on campus, furthering the learning process after classes have ended.
Student Body
The student body at Brookdale Community College is made up almost entirely of New Jersey residents, with a small population of people who come from neighboring states to attend classes there. Most of the students attending the school look forward to furthering their education in their field of study, and perhaps even attending a bachelors degree school, or using the bachelors degree program services provided by Brookdale Community College through their membership in the New Jersey Communiversity.
Student Life
While the school has only a commuter campus, not offering housing on location, the school has a surprising number of activities, clubs, and other programs that would normally be found at a resident campus. From drama, theatre, and student government, students have a wide array of activities and organizations that they can take part in. There is also a full sports program available, offering many different sports ranging from baseball to volleyball. New Jersey also provides many different attractions itself, including 127-miles of white sand beaches, casinos, and the Rankokus Indian Reservation.
