Founded in 1978, the Brookhaven College is a community college within the Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD). It is located in Farmers Branch, Texas. The campus covers 467,000 square feet and divided between more than 15 buildings.

The college opened as the seventh college in the DCCCD. It enrolls more than 9,000 students each semester and over 8,000 in the school's continuing education program. Brookhaven offers associate's degrees in arts and sciences, applied science, arts and sciences for business majors and nursing.

The sports teams of Brookhaven participate in Men’s Baseball, Men’s Basketball, Women’s Soccer and Women’s Volleyball. They participate in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and the Metro Athletic Conference (MAC).
