Bryant University is a four-year, private university located in Smithfield, Rhode Island, United States. It was established in 1863 as a branch of Bryant and Stratton. Bryant became a non-profit institution in 1949. In 1969, it offered its first masters program. The campus is spread across an area of 420 acres. Bryant offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study. It is organized into the following academic divisions:
Bryant University has an active Greek life. The university has several sororities and fraternities on campus. Their sports teams are known as the Bulldogs. The university's student-run newspaper is called "Archway." It also has a radio station called WJMF 88.7.
The main campus of Bryant is in Smithfield, RI (a rural site not far from an urban area). The school is a private, not-for-profit school. Bryant offers degrees up to the Post-Master's certificate.
