Butler University, BU, is a private co-educational university in Indianapolis, Indiana that was founded in 1855. It sits on a 290 acre campus and offers programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels in areas like business, health science, and fine arts. The colleges of the university are as follows:

Butler University, which participates in the NCAA Division I Horizon League and the Pioneer Football League, has teams in baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, tennis, track and field, and volleyball. The teams are nicknamed the Bulldogs. BU also has nine sororities, eight fraternities, and over 115 clubs and organizations.
