California College San Diego offers a variety of certificate, associate degree, and bachelor's degree programs in the health sciences, computer, and business fields of study. Some of these programs include a bachelor's degree in computer science, bachelor's degrees in accounts and business administration, and an associates degree in medical specialties. All of the programs at the school are "fast track" programs, providing training and education for people who want to start careers to get better jobs faster.

To get admitted to California College San Diego, the first thing to do is to fill out their online form to request more information and an official application. A high school diploma, or equivalent is required to attend the school. Past transcripts and other past credit can be applied towards credit at the school as long as they are accredited from a U.S. Department of Education accredited school. Applicants are encouraged to schedule a tour of the school before they plan on attending. Previous experience that does not carry school credits will be gauged by the score on placement exams, in which credit for the class will be awarded if the test is passed.

Many students move to California, though, and become a part of the community and city life that is all around the school. There are many housing options around the school and within driving distance of the campus, making commuting to the school easy. The student body is made up of all kinds of people, some just starting their careers and others who are attending classes to enhance the skills they already have.

The friendly atmosphere of the campus leads students to create friendships that carry on outside of the classroom. San Diego is the sixth biggest city in the country, and as such it does not disappoint in the entertainment and attraction areas. There are many sights to see and things to do in San Diego while not attending classes. Known as one of the most perfect places to live, the night life and tourist attractions around will keep anyone new to the area, or who has lived there a long time, busy when they aren't attending classes. Some of the major attractions include the San Diego Padres baseball team, the San Diego Zoo, Sea World San Diego, and Balboa Park.
