Overview

California College San Diego (CCSD) is network of nonprofit, private colleges offering degree programs in the fields of business, healthcare, information technology, and graphic arts. CCSD was founded in 1971 as the Scottsdale Education Center in Phoenix, Arizona. The school moved to California in 1976 and became the California College for Respiratory Therapy. It was also known as California College for Health Sciences before undergoing its current name change. CCSD has 3 campus locations in Southern California as well as its online degree program. The school awards associate, bachelor's and master's degrees.

California College San Diego is accredited by the ACCSC (Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges).

Faculty

The faculty at California College San Diego bring experience from the work place directly into the classroom, allowing them to teach students the relevant skills they will need in the workplace. Students will learn in the classroom and from hands-on learning experiences using the latest industry technologies.

Student Life

California College San Diego is a commuter college and does not offer student housing. Students wishing to graduate quickly have the option to do so. Associate degree programs can be completed in as little as 15 months while some bachelor's degree programs can be completed in 20 months. CCSD also offers 15-month master's degree programs which are available completely online. All students receive the use of a new laptop. In addition, students have access to online bookstores, career services, and an alumni foundation. As one of the largest cities in the U.S., San Diego offers opportunities to visit numerous attractions, attend exciting events, and enjoy world-class entertainment.
