California State University, East Bay, also called CSUEB, was founded in 1957. It initially began as a state college and was granted university status in 1972. In addition to its teacher education program, CSUEB offers more than 35 undergraduate degree programs and 20 Master degree programs in 4 colleges:

  • College of Business and Economics
  • College of Education and Allied Studies
  • College of Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences
  • College of Science

In recent years, the university has repeatedly ranked among the best business schools and regional public schools in the West. CSUEB’s athletic program boasts of national championships in the women's outdoor track and field team, and the hall of fame features a stunning list of prominent sports personalities including Major League Baseball players, an Olympian, and several national record holders.
