Calumet College of St. Joseph, abbreviated as CCSJ, was established in 1951 by the Missionaries of the Precious Blood. It is a private, Roman Catholic, four-year college. CCSJ is based in Whiting, Indiana, near the border of Chicago. The College offers a wide range of academic programs in areas of study including education, humanities, religious studies, management information systems, communication, and accounting.

The athletic teams at CCSJ are known as the Crimson Wave. CCSJ is a member of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). CCSJ sponsors men’s and women’s teams in sports such as basketball, bowling, cross country, tennis, track and field, golf, and soccer.
