Cardinal Stritch University is a private, Roman Catholic university located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States. It was established in 1937 as St. Clare College by the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi to train nuns as teachers. It gained university status in 1997. The university offered its first doctoral program in 1998. The university also has campuses located in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Edina, and Minnesota. It operates an evening program in Rochester, Minnesota.
