Carroll Community College was initially opened as a branch of Catonsville Community College in 1976. It became an independent college in 1993. The main campus is located on Washington Road in Westminster, Maryland, United States. It also has a public safety education and training center in Sykesville.

Students of Carroll Community College can choose from a variety of degrees and programs in the fields of allied health, healthcare education, business and information technologies, fine and performing arts, social sciences, and teacher education. Also available are continuing education programs and transfer programs to other institutes.

Carroll Community College sponsors a host of student clubs and organizations including the Campus Activities Board, Drama Club, Green Team, Kings and Fools (Juggling Club), and Vertigo.
