This college is also referred to as Cayuga Community College. It was established in the year 1953. Originally, the institute was known as Auburn Community College. Cayuga County Community College has another campus in Fulton. The college offers a large number of associate degrees and certificate programs. Students may choose from courses in the fields of education, nursing, art, and broadcasting. More than 4,000 students are enrolled in the college on an annual basis.

The students of Cayuga County Community College actively participate in sports such as basketball, soccer, golf, and lacrosse. The students publish an on-campus newspaper called the "Cayuga Collegian," and also operate a radio station called WDWN Win 89FM.
