Central Baptist College, or CBC, is located on a 15-acre campus in Conway, Arkansas. Though officially established in 1952, CBC traces its roots to the Central College which was founded in 1892 by the Arkansas Baptist State Convention. This college closed in 1947, and its assets were taken over by the Baptist Missionary Association of Arkansas. In September, 1952, the Conway Baptist College was established, and came to be known as the Central Baptist College in 1962.
Central Baptist College offers a number of associate's, and bachelor's degree programs. Courses are available in general education, health sciences, management, music, psychology and social services, biotechnology, and bible studies. Students can also opt for online courses and correspondence programs.
The sports teams of Central Baptist College are known as the Mustangs. They compete in basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, cross country, golf, and volleyball. CBC’s athletics department is a member of the National Christian College Athletic Association, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
