Central Career School is a small, private, for-profit college that has been offering career-oriented educational programs since 1995. Located in South Plainfield, New Jersey, the school serves residents of Central New Jersey. The mission of Central Career School is to offer excellent programs that will provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to directly enter the workforce upon graduation. The school offers a career-focused curriculum, experienced faculty, hands-on training and small classes to help students succeed in the competitive business world.

Central Career School offers three programs of study, Dental Assisting, Medical Billing, and PC Office Systems. Central Career School is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT), a nationally recognized accrediting agency. Central Career School has been recognized by ACCSCT as a 2008/2009 School of Excellence.

Areas of Study

Central Career School offers the following three programs:

Dental Assisting: Program teaching the necessary knowledge and hands-on skills to assist a dentist in all phases of operations. Program includes an externship for experience under a licensed dentist. Graduates will be eligible sit for the N.J. Department of Environmental Protection’s dental radiography examination.
Medical Billing and Office Specialist: Program focusing on the financial and insurance-related tasks in a modern medical office, preparing students to seek administrative employment in a medical setting. An externship at a medical office, hospital, and insurance company are part of the program.
PC Office Systems Specialist: Program teaching the necessary knowledge and hands-on skills to be successful in today’s computerized office environment, including Microsoft Office skills such as word processing, spreadsheets, database management, presentations, and keyboarding.

Central Career School Selectivity

Interested students must fill out the school's application for admission and complete a basic skills test. Central Career School requires all applicants to have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Faculty

Central Career School hires dedicated instructors who have quality experience in their field of teaching. Due to small class sizes, instructors are able to offer personalized assistance to students.
