Chattahoochee Valley Community College, or CVCC, is a public institution which was established in 1973 by an act of the Alabama State Legislature. Located in Phoenix City, Alabama, more than 2,000 students enroll in the Phoenix city campus which comprises eight buildings and covers more than 100 acres.

Chattahoochee Valley Community College offers academic programs leading to associate’s degrees. The college offers these courses through the following academic divisions:

  • Division of Business Computer and Social Sciences
  • Division of Health Sciences
  • Division of Language and Fine Arts
  • Division of Mathematics and Science

The students of CVCC participate in sports which include basketball, and fast pitch softball, among others. The college is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association as well as the Alabama Junior and Community College Conference.
