Citrus College is a community college established in 1915 by educator Floyd S. Hayden. The college enrolls close to 12,000 students every year. Associate degrees and certificate programs in arts, sciences, performing arts, and business are awarded to the students of Citrus College. Apart from this, there are also distance education and continuing education programs.

The Citrus College athletics teams go by the name of Fighting Owls, and the team colors are blue and white. There are separate men’s and women’s teams for basketball, golf, soccer and water polo. The college also has baseball, cross-country, football, softball, volleyball, swimming and track and field teams.
