The College of Business & Technology is a higher education & career education institution based in the city of Kendall, Florida and operating three more campuses in the cities of Flagler, Hialeah, and Cutler Bay.
College of Business and Technology (a.k.a. CBT) is nationally accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) to award diploma and academic associate degrees. C.B.T. is also licensed by the Commission for Independent Education (CIE) & certified by the United States Department of Education.
In addition; C.B.T. is under the regulation of the Florida’s Statewide Course Numbering System which facilitates the transfer of courses between participating institutions, and is approved by the Student Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) to issue I-20 forms from international students. As of 2009, approximately 538 full-time students are enrolled of which 62.2% are majoring in a technology related program. CBT operates in four campus locations in Miami-Dade County, Florida. College of Business and Technology does not provide student housing, but will assist students in finding suitable living places. This is especially true for out-of-state students who are new to the South Florida area.
Placement
College of Business & Technology will maintain a computerized list of graduate students which will help the placement department seek positions in future employing companies. While the college does not guarantee placement, the college will make every effort to help the graduate find a position in the Metro Dade/Broward vicinity. The Placement department assists the student to schedule interviews and fax resumes to companies who seek employees or internships.
Certifications
The College is an authorized Educational Testing Center, which will provide candidates the convenience of testing for the following certifications: A+, NETWORK+, MOS, MCP, CIW, and CCNA.
In addition CBT is a Testing Center approved by National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) and National Health Career Association (NHA) for the National Board examinations in many medical and health careers.
