Colorado Northwestern Community College, CNCC, was established in 1962 as the Rangely College. It was given its current name in 1974. This public junior college is in Rangely, Colorado but also operates the Craig Campus, Hayden Center, Meeker Center, and South Routt Center.

Colorado Northwestern Community College awards the Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, Associate of General Studies, and Associate of Applied Science degrees. In addition, students can opt for certificate programs in various fields of study.

Colorado Northwestern Community College's athletics teams participate in baseball, basketball, softball, and volleyball. Nicknamed the Spartans and the Lady Spartans, the teams compete in the Scenic West Athletic Conference. CNCC also sponsors a number of student clubs and organizations like Rho Beta Kappa, Aviation Maintenance Club, Phi Beta Lambda, Aero Club, and The Sportsman Club.
