Overview

Founded in 1965 as the Colorado Electronic Training Center, Colorado Technical University now has two on-campus locations in Colorado as well as an online degree program. CTU offers flexible learning options, including online degrees as well as industry-current curricula. Areas of study include business and management, engineering and computer science, health care, security studies, project management, and information systems and technology. Students may earn associate, bachelor's, master's or doctoral degrees in an on-campus, online or hybrid format. Accelerated learning options are also available for certain degree programs.

Faculty

Faculty members at CTU possess the advanced degrees and teaching qualifications needed to provide students with industry-current information and instruction. They are charged with fostering the success and development of their students through a highly interactive classroom setting. Many of the instructors have real-world experience, allowing them to bring their professional knowledge to the classroom.

Student Life

Most of CTU's curriculum is geared toward enhancing the career opportunities that are available to working professionals. Students are often employed either full or part-time and commute to campus since no student housing is offered. Degree programs are tailored to meet the student's preferred learning format. Students may choose to use the M.U.S.E. learning platform which delivers course material in audio, video, and interactive formats online. CTU provides many online communities for students to stay connected with the school and each other. A career services department is available for career coaching, interview preparation and professional networking. Financial aid also is available to those who qualify.
