Overview of Concorde School of Hair Design

Concorde School of Hair Design has served Northern New Jersey residents for over 30 years with high quality beauty education. The school operates two campuses within the state: one in Bloomfield and the other in Ocean Township. Concorde is part of Empire Education Group's nationwide family of cosmetology schools, which encompasses 87 locations across 18 states. The school is accredited by The National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts & Sciences, Inc. (NACCAS).

Areas of Study

Concorde's programs offer formal training in salon management and reception, communication skills, sales techniques, and more. Graduates are prepared to pursue a successful career in the beauty industry. Programs are offered in the following disciplines:

• Cosmetology/Barbering (1200 hours)
• Educator Training (500 hours)
• Nail Technology (offered only at Ocean Township campus)
• Esthetics (600 hours; offered only at Ocean Township campus)

Concorde School of Hair Design Admissions

The application process is initiated by simply filling out an online form. Applicants will then receive a free brochure and will be contacted by a Career Planning Specialist. Applicants must be at least 16 years old and either hold a high school diploma, hold a GED certificate, or pass an Ability to Benefit entrance examination.

Concorde School of Hair Design Faculty Quality

Concorde's faculty members are licensed and fully trained in all aspects of their field. Instructors undergo vigorous technical and classroom management training and certification prior to starting their teaching.

Concorde School of Hair Design Student Body

The predominantly female student body numbers over 300 students across both campuses. Student population at the Bloomfield campus is roughly twice as large as that of the Ocean Township campus.

Concorde School of Hair Design Student Life

All of Concorde's students commute to and from school. The Bloomfield campus is conveniently located minutes from the Garden State Parkway and directly across from New Jersey Transit (Bloomfield Station). The Ocean Township site, also right off the Parkway (exit 105), sits in the Middlebrook Shopping Center where there is plenty of free parking.
