Started in 1983, The Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago has graduated thousands of chefs many of whom have since worked in prestigious restaurants in the Chicago area and beyond. In the year 2000, the school entered into a relationship with Le Cordon Bleu that added the famed Paris culinary arts curriculum and chef training to the school’s programs. The school’s River North location in downtown Chicago is in the thick of an energetic neighborhood.

The Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago has gained regional accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission.

Areas of Study

All of the school’s programs focus on food-related arts. Students can study for the Associate of Applied Science Degree in Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts that provides culinary, baking/pastry and management education. Students who select to pursue the Associate of Applied Science Degree in Le Cordon Bleu Pâtisserie and Baking will focus their studies on baking and pastry preparation. The school also offers the Certificate in Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts.

The Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago Admissions and Financial Aid

While there are entry requirements such as a high school diploma or its equivalent, the admissions process is open and there are no particular deadlines. Program classes start frequently.

Those students who demonstrate financial need may qualify for tuition aid. The school employs tuition planners to lend a hand to students trying to work the financial aid system.
