The college is a member of the State University of New York system. The main campus is spread across an area of 550 acres. It is also home to an observatory and a planetarium.
CCC is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association. Its sports teams are known as the Red Barons. They compete in the Mid-State Athletic Conference in Region III of the NJCAA.
