Founded in 1970, Cosumnes River College is a two-year community college located at the southern edge of Sacramento in Sacramento County, California. It is a part of the Los Rios Community College District. The main campus of CRC sits on an area of 180 acres.
The campus consists of 12 permanent buildings, including fiber optics and satellite transmission capabilities for the latest in information and communication services. The college enrolls more than 11,000 students each term. It offers more than 60 occupational degree programs and a comprehensive curriculum of transfer courses.
Cosumnes River College is also home to THE CONNECTION, an award winning newspaper. The official mascot of CRC is the Hawks.
