Founded in 1976, CUNY College of Staten Island is one of the senior colleges of The City University of New York. The college offers several programs in the liberal arts and sciences and professional studies, leading to bachelor's and associate's degrees. The CSI campus is spread over an area of 204 acres.
CSI confers masters degree in more than 12 professional, liberal arts and science fields. The college also participates in doctoral programs of The City University Graduate School and University Center in Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Nursing, Physics and Psychology.
The academic buildings of CSI are home to more than 250 classrooms, laboratories, instructional spaces, study lounges, department and program offices and faculty offices.
The sports teams of CSI are nicknamed the Dolphins.
