Founded in 1963, CUNY Kingsborough Community College is the only community college in Brooklyn, New York. The campus is located at the eastern end of the Manhattan Beach peninsula and covers an area of 71 acres. The campus overlooks Sheepshead Bay, Jamaica Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.

The college serves more than 30,000 students annually. It offers several credit and non-credit courses in liberal arts and career education, as well as a number of specialized programs. The campus boasts of many modern facilities like two gymnasiums, an indoor pool, an aquarium, computer labs, art gallery, a performing arts center, and much more.

Some of the notable alumni of Kingsborough are CNN top reporter and winner of National News Emmy Award, Jeff Koinange and State Senator Larry Seabrook.
