Cypress College

Founded on September 12, 1966, Cypress College is a community college located in Cypress, California. The college offers a variety of education programs which include more than 50 associates degrees, transfer courses (over 50 transfer majors), and over 135 vocational programs leading to Associate's degrees and certificates.

Cypress College campus is spread across an area of 440,000 square meters. The modern-style campus was designed by architect Frank Lawyer of the Austin, Texas-based firm Caudill Rowlett Scott.

Cypress offers seven sports for women and six for men. The sports teams are known as the Chargers.

Cypress' 27-0 season in 1999 earned a No. 1 national ranking by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
