Daemen College, established in 1947, was initially known as the Rosary Hill College, and was given its present name in the year 1971. The campus of the college is spread across an area of more than 35 acres. It is a non-sectarian four-year college of liberal arts and is located in Amherst, New York. The institution offers over 30 undergraduate programs and several graduate programs. Courses are also offered through distance learning programs.
Daemen College's athletics department fields a number of men's and women's sports teams. They are nicknamed the Wildcats, and compete in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. The Wildcats participate in sports like soccer, volleyball, basketball, and golf.
